1st Generation Decoder

(only some venues in NSW and TAS will have this type of decoder)

As Giddy-Up is connected via video lead to the SKY Channel racing decoder it is very likely going to be located nearby (within 2 to 3 metres max). To ensure efficient running of the Giddy-Up decoder ideally it should be located in a cool / air conditioned area with ventilation to avoid overheating of the unit.

Front of 1st Generation Decoder

To reset the decoder, hold down the button on the far right-hand side until the green power light goes off – release the button and wait for approx 5 seconds before pressing the same button in (don’t hold down).

Back of 1st Generation Decoder

There should be three cords running into the back of the Giddy-Up decoder

  1. On the far left is the power cord
  2. In the middle of the decoder is the RCA video output that connects into the Giddy-Up modulator or similar MATV distribution system. Each venue will have its own system, you should take care to only check and adjust cords that are specifically related to the Giddy-Up system.
  3. On the far right of the decoder is the video input lead that comes from the SKY decoder
