Giddy-Up screen is showing a “Diagnostics” page, what does this mean?
A diagnostics screen is the Giddy-Up decoder flagging no signal being received from the SKY decoder. It will show the blue diagnostics screen and alternate with the GU default page (Picture of the Giddy-Up Logo). It will reboot every 15 minutes in an attempt to fix the problem itself.
If your Giddy-Up screen is showing a diagnostics screen, you need to ensure:
- That your SKY is working
- That the video lead running between Giddy-Up and the SKY Decoder is plugged in (view decoder pictures for an explanation of where the cords should be plugged in.)
- That the Giddy-Up decoder is working, it is advisable to reboot the Giddy-Up decoder
If all of the above is connected, then you’ll need to contact the Giddy-Up office for further advice / support.
Giddy-Up screen is black / has white writing on screen / Frozen on an image or past race.
As Giddy-Up is PC based system, from time to time some decoders may need to be rebooted. If any of the following occurs, reboot the Giddy-Up decoder.
If this is an issue that occurs more than once in close succession, contact Giddy-Up for further advice / support.
Giddy-Up screen is blue / snowy
If you’re Giddy-Up screen is a plain blue or snowy (fuzzy) you need to check the following things:
- Giddy Up Decoder is turned on.
- Giddy Up Modulator has power.
- Lead from Giddy Up decoder to the Modulator is connected correctly (view decoder pictures for an explanation of where the cords should be plugged in.).
- Television is on the correct channel
- Television hasn’t lost tuning. E.g. Blackout/power surge.
