This is the most common version of Giddy-Up decoder in venues – As Giddy-Up is connected via video lead to the SKY Channel racing decoder it is very likely going to be located nearby (within 2 to 3 metres max). To ensure efficient running of the Giddy-Up decoder ideally it should be located in a cool / air conditioned area with ventilation to avoid overheating of the unit.
Front of HP Decoder
To reset the decoder, hold down the blue power button in the middle of the Decoder until the green power light goes off – release the button and wait for approx 5 seconds before pressing the same button in (don’t hold down).

Back of HP Decoder
There needs to be three(3) leads in the back of your Decoder for Giddy-Up to be broadcasting, two video leads on the left hand side and a power cord on the right.
- The video-input from the SKY decoder plugs into the yellow female RCA on the TV card(also has the RF/TV aerial connection) on the left hand side of the Decoder.
- The video-output to the Giddy-Up modulator or in-house system is from the s-video port located on the video-out card (which also has the long white DVI connection) directly next to the video-input from SKY.
The s-video adapter is generally black and about and inch long(25mm), this connects to the RCA lead which runs to the modulator or in-house system. The grip on the s-video adapter always faces the power cord. - On the right is the power cord.
