The ratings are compiled by our expert team of form analysts, who take into account many of the variables in racing, such as:

- Race tempo
- Track conditions
- Track bias
- Barrier position
- Jockey and trainer
Our analysts have access to a comprehensive database of over two million records and use Giddy-Up’s sophisticated form analysis software to assess each horse’s historical form. They look for horses who are likely to be peaking in form for today’s race and who are suited by today’s conditions. The final step, taking everything into account, is to provide an assessed price (or rating) for each horse in the race.
